A little help.

Easy defaults to rolling two dice before aiming; Normal uses aim first with two dice; Hard uses aim first with one. Change the order or dice count in Settings. Flick or tap to roll; a separate tap catches the visible numbers. Aim toward any grid square within range, including shorter shots. With aim first, your line locks before the roll and a small roll may stop short. Check the dotted arc and confirm with Play shot.

The ground under your ball affects distance. The tee starts with no bonus; rough also has no bonus. Fairway and green add one. Sand subtracts one. Woods and white out-of-bounds ground subtract two; woods still allow at least one space. The app shows the calculation beside the die.

You can fly over trees and play from them with the woods penalty. Rocky hills block shots. A water landing adds one penalty stroke and drops the ball on dry ground near where the shot entered the water. Landing on a slope rolls the ball in its arrow’s direction.

Optional rerolls are available at the tee, with an extra stroke for each reroll. If a settled roll has no legal move—for example, sand turns a 1 into 0—that attempt counts one stroke and you must roll again from the same spot. Pressing Roll again does not charge a second stroke or use a reroll allowance. Every further failed roll also counts once. You can choose a 1-space shot before rolling or when your rolled shot is playable. Reach the green to switch to gentle flick putting.

That’s part of the fun. Animals react when your ball lands close enough. Their reach sometimes grows, so the same neighbor can surprise you differently. Bigfoot may toss the ball elsewhere; the rabbit gently nudges it toward the green. Water neighbors and woodland creatures have their own tricks.

Every new casual round asks for 9 or 18 holes, with 9 selected by default. Eighteen offers a skippable mini-game after hole 9. Home → Mini Games lets you play all six directly without replacing your golf round. The daily challenge is one hole.

A win earns one standard mulligan; excellent play earns two. Standard replaces a settled roll at the tee for free. Trade five standard for one super, usable from any grid lie. Winning at the eighteen-hole break also has a one-in-five chance of a super drop. Direct play awards standard only. These never undo a stroke, water penalty, or putt.

Paper Cart Rally speeds up after each flag and passed obstacle. Eight stretches take about 10–15 seconds; touching a cart ends the race, while a puddle spins you around. Owl’s Golf Ball Drop lasts 30 seconds: steer the drifting owl, lead randomly spaced carts, and look for the paper burst. Each hit makes the challenge faster. Five hits wins; ten earns two standard mulligans.

Apple Music playback is still under investigation in this beta. Golf works without it. Open the music panel or tap Play on the mini player. Choose Connect and play Yacht Rock, or select a playlist from your library. Allow Apple Music access when prompted. Catalog playback needs an eligible Apple Music subscription and an internet connection. Golf itself works without connecting music.

Music pauses when you leave the round or the app. Adjust the player’s volume slider for a quiet soundtrack. If music cannot start, check the message in the panel and retry; include that message if you contact us.

Your notebook and saved rounds are stored on this device. They are not an online leaderboard. Deleting the app may remove those records, so avoid reinstalling as the first troubleshooting step.
